Other groups may visit Batel when YW Camps are not in session. Reservations can be made through the LDS.org website. Search for Batel Ranch or look for Batel Ranch in the Recreation Camps list. LDS standards must be maintained at all times. Other Batel standards should be followed as well. The camp rules and standards can be found on the Facilities page.
The Batel Council maintains and coordinates Batel Ranch with the church Facilities Manager. Brother Ray Reutzel, from Laramie, is the Batel Manager and Council Chair. Each stake has representatives that serve on this council. These members are the High Councilor over the Young Women, the Stake Young Women President and the Stake Young Women Camp Director. We meet a couple of times in the Fall to evaluate the previous year and make plans for the next year. We meet about monthly Feb-June to prepare for the coming year. Each stake is given assignments to help with the planning and maintenance. Changes and improvements to Batel are discussed and approved in this council. Most of the meetings are held at the Loveland Stake Center and couple are held at Batel.
We send reminders and information through email to the members of the council. We also copy the Stake President or his assigned Counselor so they will have the current information. Priesthood assignments are made through the High Councilor at our meetings or through email from the camp manager.
